was done by adding an extra layer for the graphics to the speech FLA, you can do speech bubbles and all sorts, but its a restricted area to work in
the big white areas in the first pics, were "pickup and drop into inventory" animation for the key and and bug spray, but i decided against it, the spider does it still
The sound was a layer added onto inventory
