WIP No title yet
Not long ago someone asked if you do a Lassie game as a single room and i just couldn't resist, so, the answer is; yes you can :D HOWEVER! its a mind blowing juggling act between the Flash movie and Lassie feast your eyes on the lassie Layout editor: currently its 27ish phases by time its done it'll 35 i reckon This is the movie file: The game is based on the movie Saw, i had the mad idea to make it very gruesome, you could die, lose limbs, multi options etc but i wussed out, plus the movie file would be damn huge. it has the turning buttons at the side as i had issues with the inventory cursors changing as you rolled over i have a few more areas to do and the intro and ending and to think of a name, its working title is Sore lol

Nige... I'm not sure if a 27 phase sprite amounts to ambition or insanity :P Look good, keep up the er... ambition.

NigeC- 10-06-2008

its not as bad or difficult as it looks.. all the graphical sprites came early on, when the edit area gets cluttered you duplicate the background sprite at a higher level thus making it easy to see the newer sprites, it was going great until on sprite for the door started expanding on its second phase, the sprites after behaved, very odd lol

I though i'd blown the project but after splitting the room in two it now works, iI've since got the direction control working.. so i needn't of merged the remote control scene.. ho hum hopefully by the weekend it'll be ready for a spot of beta -*test*-('")ing, probably minus the intro and ending for now

Matt Kempke- 10-13-2008

if you need a -*test*-('")er ...

NigeC- 10-13-2008

Its official called "Subject: Gilen" I've got it playable to the end.. i just haven't figured out how to actually end it yet  To get it to work i had to split it into 5 "rooms" unfortunately a load time on one area is rather scary I did this thing to see if i could create a single room and you can't, sprites don't alway clear and if you get several sprites overlapping eventually strange things happen, the major one being the inventory items don't alway act as they should do, at 25 sprites it all goes wonky, the ideal way would just be a scroller If you want to have a look I'll PM a link, the only thing missing is the exit animation and some self inflicted typos lol

Matt Kempke- 10-13-2008

Sure! I d like to see it!

bigmac- 10-17-2008

Still looking good, Nige!

NigeC- 10-17-2008

Yeah, i'm not bad looking considering... oh you ment the game?! If anyones interested here it is.. http://www.nigecstudios.co.uk/index.php?pid=6 the ending is abit crappy.. sorry, but i've lost interest because i couldn't do what i intended and in my opinion its far to easy to release as a valid game or bother asking anyone to do a real voice for the baddie Lip sync was very difficult as it behaved differently in Flash, in Lassie and online, running from the desktop its spot on, online the animation runs slower arghhh anyway, it was an experiment, and interesting to do from the coding point of view, and its help a lot for my next non Lassie flash project ;)

.
Not a bad game, there! Ending was like.. what!?

NigeC- 10-21-2008

well, ye kno.. the whole thing was kinda squeaky clean so i thought it a fitting end.. I might revisit the game at some point and do the real version, the best this one will get is the dialog fixed as there is a few typos Right now i'm doing something totally flash and coded by me, i've got the basics working and i'm really happy with the way its going
