Amazing!
That truly was a tour de force, Matt. Awesome game. I just finished it and was blown away with the detail. Each room was a feast for the eyes. And awesome animations...little nuances like Nora's eyes rolling across the page as she reads were great! You set the bar high for adventure game creation! Now you know people are going to start bugging you for a sequel...

I haven't weighed in publicly yet, so I guess I'd better. The thing that I can't get past is just how similar this IS to an old-school LEC adventure. All the crazy little nuances are there: Nora is reading, but puts the book down when you start dialog with her. Then she'll resume her reading animation when you end the conversation sequence. Crazy little stuff like that. I laughed at myself last night as I was capturing a screenshot for your featured article... I carefully walked Nathan behind a bush to hide as much of him from the scene as possible, and it occurred to me that I used to do that ALL the time to get scenes from LEC games. It was a serious moment of deja-vu! So, needless to say I have spent a LOT of hours studying the interactive methodologies of old LEC games... like how cursors respond or how sequences play out. Without having a clue as to what I was doing, I tried to build controls for as many of those things that I noticed as I could (like custom talk animations, etc). However, I've never really known if my control designs are capable of reproducing that LEC magic. Matt has finally proven–definitively–that they are. So for that... Thanks Matt.

the attention to detail is what you'd expect from a commercial game, the wink from Greg character cracked me up.. kinda spooky because it seemed directed AT me lol the game also does Greg's work proud too and shows just what Lassie is capable of, definitely has raised the bar
