Well not to good with my mac and lassie
I gave the LassieAS a try and it would give an error and crashed right after I made the new game and tried to load the game to edit. Then i downloaded the Lassie Director and when i added the name to the edit box and click the + sign to add it to the list box it would just delete the name from the edit box and not add it to the list box? So what should i do or what did I do wrong?

Ermpm? I've never heard on this before. You downloaded the Mac versions of LassieAS/Director from the Lassie website and didn't mod them at all? This sounds like a FileI/O thing given the point that the errors are occurring at. Oh bugger... I wonder if this has anything to do with the Intel Mac thing...

Yes got both today from your site. I'll try to get a screen shot of the errors for you. I got LASSIE ADVENTURE STUDIO v1.2 working now.. AS

I'm sure this is not the answer you were hoping for, but it appears that this problem is NOT related to Intel-based Mac architecture. I just tried out the system on my computer here at work which is an Intel iMac G5, and it ran fine. So... hmm. First dumb question I'll ask is what are the permissions on that directory? It's a LONG shot, but who knows... maybe the zip archive folder lost write permissions and you're having problems based on not being able to write into the directory. Off the top of my head, it's the best I got. Given that we've never had other users encounter a similar problem, I'm venturing to say that this is not a Lassie-related problem.
