i noticed in less than 2 posted the password was shared for chapter two at gamershood... just out of interest how much bandwidth does chapter2 use per person? i honestly don't know what to do about future games, i simply cant afford that sort of bandwidth or justify paying for it, i'm on m a** finacially.. i know exactly what your saying about the lack of input about the game, the only time you hear anything is if theres a problem or you get the most crushing "this game sucks!".. this normally turns out to be some snot nosed kid who can't use a mouse! if i do another i may just release as download only so at least i have some control, which you seem to lose instantly when 10 or more bloggers hot link to it

AdSense
Not sure how much Chapter 2 takes up. I'll tally it at the end of the month. Have you tried Google Adsense? From the handful of ads I've got - I usually make enough to cover the monthly bandwidth costs. Right now I break about even.

yeah i have adsense.. i've made $2.19 this month lol, the big problem is i'm not hosting the game so adsense isn't getting any traffic, now the mad rush is over i might host it again

Keep your thick skin going there, Tucker. It's not worth listening to all the different critics out there! At the end of the day, all we can do is make a game for ourselves and hope other people may be interested... if there is one thing certain in life besides death and taxes, its that you'll never create anything that everyone in the world will appreciate. If you're happy with it though, then you've succeeded. And speaking of taxes... that's why I'd signed online. Guess I should stop procrastinating!

You're right Greg, as usual ... nontheless - it's a hard learning process :)

Big News
Thanks, being in the TV business gets you used to criticism luckily. But it seems some people really liked the game...all LASSIE games in fact. I just got some big news....(you'll want to sit down for this one.) I got a call from some folks up in Marin County, CA. It seems LucasArts is so impressed with these LASSIE titles (What Makes you Tick, 3DA, Nearly Departed, etc.) that they want to license and distribute them under the company name! I gave them your information Greg, so you should be getting a call from none other then George Lucas soon!!!

LOL :o

Tucker, Tucker, Tucker... You had me going for a second, but I did register it quickly as being very "april fools-ish". And here I was being nice to you guys! I was thinking about posting the source LassieAS Flash file yesterday for ya'll to get excited about and download.. then discover that there's nothing in the FLA and that it's useless without the 17 external object classes. But I figured that was in bad taste ;-)

Behind the Scenes
Hi folks, I decided to post a couple of blog entries to give people a "behind the scenes" look at the making "Something Amiss". http://somethingamissgame.blogspot.com/

bigmac- 04-08-2007

ohhh... that looks cool! I look forward to reading through that (which I'll do later today. For now--errands. one of which involves getting lumber to build one of those cool rolley-boards from juggling)

Testing New Menu
Hi folks, I'm -*test*-('")ing out my new menu. It seems to work fine in Firefox but not so good in Safari. Can any of you PC users give it a shot and let me know if it looks ok? You should see a full screen menu with various options for story details, hints, etc. If you only see the title graphic and game menu let me know. Thanks, Tucker Here's the -*test*-('") menu.

Tucker, I'll take a look at it when I get home and near my PC... ones at work don't have flash :-(
