Here's an interesting article from Renderosity. It's about my own father, who was one of the first people in Digital Imaging. He is starting up a new business turning 3D imaging into 3D postcards and business cards. He's an extremely clever man! i love the shadow box's I don't think I've seen anything like the post cards in the UK, well not in my area of the world.. i just wish i had the money to get something like that started up, but we're on our ass's financially at the moment, the printer we have your dad probably wouldn't use it as a doorstop lol

as far as I know, no one has seen such post cards. Much like he said, they were just too expensive for anyone to think it necessary. I've been waiting a few months (so has my dad) to be able to post this link. He's been ready for that article to go up for months, but has hit a lot of snags with a lot of different people along the way. But it's nice to see his vision getting started.

I hope he does well, I've been in the same boat, trying to get a business off the ground and it isn't easy, its a long hard slog, and like you say your often let down in the process, theres a lot of false promises if i can help in anyway, let me know, i dunno if my modeling skills are a good enough standard but no ones ever asked me do anything in particular so i just tend to do enough to get the effect I'm looking for :roll:
