Seeking Linguists
Howdy folks... I'm looking for linguists who (preferably) are fluent in English as a second language who'd be interested in doing some translation work. My current estimate is that we'll have about 150 to 200 short (one to three sentence) blurbs within an XML structure that I'm up for porting to as many languages as we have talent for. The project is Lassie Shepherd. While Shepherd is not a fully internationalized application at this time (there is still a lot of static text fields set in English), there is at least extensive language support for the primary field labels and their help captions. The system is implemented and I'm in the process of writing English copy right now. I figure there should be some text to translate within the next few weeks. If anyone would like to pitch in with their native tounge, let me know! BTW: the fact that a help system is a fairly minor "polish" feature is a fairly significant point.
