Robot
Hello there! At last i got my web site up and running. Its not much there for at the moment, its just more like a hint of what the game may feel like or something like that. But please have a look at http://www.student.hig.se/~hsb04pfn I will add more pictures and some kind of screenshots as soon as possible. As you can see i made the site quite large, to be best viewed in 1280*1024. I know i should have made it smaller and am thinking of creating a smaller version for those that run lower res. But i dont know if this really is needed, as 1280 often is the native res on tft monitors which are taking over more and more. What resolution does people use nowdays? Which res do you guys use? So i added a poll concerning this... =)

1024*768 But I like the game on 800*600 becuase it can be very slow when using alot of flash movies at once.

Two screens each at 1280*1024 at work. I'm only at 1024*768 at home. Just as a tip, the 1024 resolution has reached a high enough percentage of web users that my studio is tailoring most of our current work to it. Our HTML layouts tend to be 990px (leaving a little breathing room and space for scroll bars). However, we make a point to keep multimedia content smaller. Asking the average user to view a 1024 flash piece (on the average system) is way too much, generally dropping the movie's frame rate to less than half of target playback. As you can imagine, viewing a flash movie at 10fps that is supposed to be running at 24 looks like crap. I would highly recommend keeping flash content to 800x600 OR LESS. Yes, 640x480 is going out of style, but it still offers a great balance between screen size and online performance. Keep in mind what Flash movie resolutions mean: Larger movies do not necessarily mean bigger downloads (assuming you are working with vector graphics). What it does mean is that more pixels need to be rendered each frame by the Flash player, creating a considerable drain on the system as the movie window gets larger.
