Pet Peeves
Hi everyone :D I just went through the Lassie Adventure Studio site thoroughly and realized that you're quite a close bunch of friends on here, after which I felt rather rude just barging in and asking tons of questions! So I figured I'd properly introduce myself: I'm Fleur, a multimedia and webdesign student in Zürich, Switzerland (you can also find me as Flamenco_Fleur on the Nordinho.net forums). I'm currently developing my very first adventure game, which I'm happy to present here: Pet Peeves, which is scheduled for release on January 18th - this Saturday! Story: You are a pilot called Antoine de St-Exupéry. You have a special gift: you can talk to animals. Your good friend the vet is sick and has asked you to take over his vet clinic for one day. The patients who visit you are: a snake is suffering from digesting problems, a rabid sheep who bites everyone, and a depressed fox... Talk to your patients, search the cabinets and go to the pharmacy to find ways to cure your patients. Maybe you'll even have to go to the library to find a special book! In the end, you will learn that only with your heart can one see rightly...the essential invisible to the eye... The game will be launched on my new game website, www.pinkfrangipani.ch. I think barging in is the best way to become part of the family. :-D Welcome Fleur! And my the adventuring begin (and/or continue) Out of curiousity, is your game going to be launched in English? Is English your primary language? I only ask, because at least one of our other members english is their second language. I think it's cool to have such a diverse community on such a small message board.

Hey Fleur, thanks for the intro!! Zürich, hu? Your university isn't up on the west river hillside overlooking the city skyline, is it? I don't remember the name of the university up there, but I had wandered through that campus back in 2004 to eat lunch on their scenic patio.

That'll teach you to post a Lassie Game on there again without explaining how the verb disk goes! @Seancyrustowel: Yes the game will be released in English! Just imagine a game in Swiss-German :shock:...ughh....I honestly cannot imagine an adventure game in any other language than English. It's my third language. I just hope I won't make too many mistakes. (btw...you've got an intriguing name...can I call you Sean? Cyrus? Or towel? I always seem to be misreading your name as "Sea-and-crusty-towel" :? :D) @bigmac: I'm pretty sure you're talking about the 'Polyterrasse' or ETH / Polytechnical High School. Nice patio isn't there? You can call me anything you want.... Usually Sean is what I hear. I have been called Towel. But if you want, my actual name is Wes, and get called that around here a lot too. The name is actually an anagram for my full name, I thought it was original, so it became my online name. I just want to say that you wright in English much better than most Americans, so I'm sure your game will be fine.

Yeah Wes, I always read your name as Seancy Rusty Towel... dunno why its jus such a jumble of letters to me!

Hmmm.... too bad there isn't an option to change the formating of my name.... I sometimes do SeanCyrusTowel so that it's obvious.... But I'm not going to recreate my username and loose all 224 (counting this one) posts, when I'm so close to 5 swirley things.

Hey Fleur, welcome aboard :) ... switzerland, that's cool! Does that mean that you'll understand it when I start cursing in german? :) Wes, actually I used to read "Sean Crusty Towel" ... I knew it was wrong, but somehow that wrong version is burnt into my subconsciousness.
