HA! awesome.

I'm tempted to leave a comment about LASSIE, so that people who made WMYT so big, will do the same for Nearly Departed, since there is no reference to LASSIE, the video isn't going to get a lot of hits.

I updated the tags/description to include a LASSIE mention. Hope that helps. And feel free to spread it to other forums.

Sweet!
Nice teaser trailer. Excitement's gonna build to a fever pitch with this.

PCGamer magazine's current issue (#172 Volume 15, Number 03, March 2008) is zombie-themed, and it has a tiny bit of Nearly Departed coverage plus the Windows demo on their game disc. Nothing new, really, but it's more exposure.

So I figure it's time for another Nearly Departed update. I haven't made too much progress, and here's why: I'm doing the background art for the new adventure game being produced by Wadjet Eye Games and published by PlayFirst. This is something that I've known about for quite a long time but wasn't able to mention until now. The game itself was only publicly announced at GDC in February, though no details have been released other than it's an adventure game. I can say it's gonna be a big game and my art will be hi-res illustration along the lines of the background art for Nearly Departed (Wadjet Eye is known for the Shivah and Blackwell games which feature a retro adventure game look.) And yes, I'm getting paid for it. What's this mean for ND? Well, I never really had a hard deadline for the game, and what with being so busy with this project in addition to other work the game's just going to take longer to complete. By the time I'm ready to get back to work on it, SuperSheep might be done and I can take advantage of all the new features. I know that means waiting longer for Nearly Departed, but it will be a better game in the end. In other news, I'm doing storyboards for a tv show that will be on the History Channel later this year.

Well done! :D the beauty of adventure games is that they don't age like other genres do... if Nearly Departed was an FPS it wouldn't be worth playing in a few years time... but as an adventure game its not going to lose anything by being on the back burner for a while. Will have to keep an eye on this other game then...

Wow! Congratulations John!! Be sure to tell us as soon as there are screen shots posted!

Very good news! And I'm sure that in the end Nearly Departed will be getting even better than it would already be now :)
