LassieAS: DEMO
Ok, the first production demo of LassieAS is posted!! I'm calling it a 'production' demo becasue there aren't really any puzzles to solve... It is just demonstrating the system in action. The alpha release is coming soon. http://www.gmacwill.com/lassie/demo_as/

I noticed when dragging an inventory item over an identical inventory item, it doesn't light up (ie, when dragging a packing peanut over the box or key, the highlight red, but when dragging over other packing peanuts they don't highlight.) No big deal, just thought I'd mention it. It does look really good and runs nice and smoothly. :D

Yeah, I know they're the same item, but you've got multiples of them. I kinda fingured since they are separate items in the inventory they'd still highlight when rolled over each other.

That is a good consideration: perhaps inventory cursors should only restrict their parent item, not all items spawned from the same ID. I'll keep it in mind, but for the time being there are bigger issues to resolve... like making the inventory scroll.

Regular LASSIE (ie, not LassieAS) has no loading screen between rooms. But that doesn't compile the final game as a .SWF file as LassieAS will.

Just as a status update: documentation is in the works to stem the inevitable landslide of questions that follows a release. In short, things are moving along.
