lassie getting started manual
I'm completely new to this, but i was wondering if there is a "getting started" manual somewhere... i looked in the lassie documentation, but it doesnt really take you step by step through the process... thanks!

ok
well.. I found out htat i need flash to do things in the AS version. is there a getting started for this version?? I know the two version are similiar, and i know that i'm a pain in the butt... but still  thanks!

NigeC- 07-13-2007

no there isn't a tutorial for the director version of lassie, however there isn't a huge difference, you should be able to figure out the different options, theres a Director manual on the main website and an editable demo, i learnt how to use Lassie by taking the demo to bits to see how it works! Me personally i'd get the Flash 8 trial, it lasts for 30 days i haven't used the Director version for well over a year

SeanCyrusTowel- 07-14-2007

however there isn't a huge difference uh oh.... watch out Nige.... I'm sure Greg would be willing to argue that comment ;-)

bigmac- 07-18-2007

No, no, He's right... there isn't a huge difference between Lassie Director and AS in terms of functionality. That's because I've designed them the same across platforms. Now if this was addressing Director versus Flash... well, that might get me slightly more heated ;-)

NigeC- 07-18-2007

if i can swap over anyone can  the basics are more or less the same, the differences aren't that hard to work around, i think the hardest is sprites with frames?
