Yes, oh yes... it's that time again. Team Lassie is trekin' it for the summer and hitting three continents this year. If you're a Lassie developer, general game enthusiast, or just want to have a beer and a nice chat while we're in your part of the world, email me! (contact through the forums works best). So, the summer '08 schedule is as follows: Madrid, Spain and the Andalucia region July 1 - July 10, Greg and girlfriend (also a Lassie enthusiast!). Marrakesh, Morocco and areas to the north and east July 11 - July 22, just Greg. San Francisco, California @ Flash Forward Aug 20 - Aug 22, Greg and Tucker (who now lives in the Bay Area). Darn ... that Marocco part sounds cool ... alas, time and money are required that I don't have. But then again I'll just hve to try and make that German/Czech tour a great one :)

... actually I have already been there. Since it was quite sponatenous/hectic and we went to dublin and then dingle - which was fantastic - I didn't manage to mail you before ... If we had been heading to the north I would have contacted to you no matter what! :) I tried to tell you actually a couple of weeks ago. I guess the message was lost in your and Gregs actionscript thread ... i didn't belong there anyway - I know.

Hello from Fes, Morocco! It is HOT here. The south of Spain was fantastic... this Moroccan leg of the trip is proving a bit more challenging with the heat, language barriar, and limited transportation connections. However, the country is exciting and the food is fantastic! hope all is well around here.

Hey all, I'm back home and glad for the rest! Let me guess Nige, in the UK you would call them "biscuits" and not "cookies", right? I just learned that difference from some Aussies on the road.

cookie = small collection of biscuits? Is that to say that it's a cookie while in the package, but becomes a biscuit again once you take it out (isolating it) and prepare to eat it?

Nonono, a cookie is a very specific TYPE of biscuit, whereas a biscuit can mean anything from a mars bar to a dunk-in-your-tea sorta thing.

Now.... I have a question.... there is this story, I like to tell people. The original was by a British writer, and has to do with biscuits.... When I "Americanize" the story for my audience, do you think it would be appropriate for me to refer to the mini donuts that can be found in vending machines here (http://www.bnrglobal.com/duchess/sugardonuts.jpg), instead of biscuits? If you are curious, and are familiar with Douglas Adams, it's the story in "So Long and Thanks for All the Fish"

We'd call it a doughnut :) our cookie is confined to ones like chocolate chip cookie type things like Chris said, biscuits can be anything!
