How to write dialogривs/comments on Cirilic
Hi all. I need help. I am not sure is it a bag, or I just do not use LAS in proper way. How can I use Russian (cirilic characters) in Lassie Adventure Studio?. Or there is no way to use it? I mean I want to type something like "привет". Any way thanks for this great engine Thanks.

It is great that I can bypass the issue with language. Ok. Now I just have questing regarding this I found on this site to versions of Lassie Adventure Studion (LassieAS_win_v081b4, and lassiedir_win_v1_2) What are the difference (I guess lassiedir_win_v1_2 - new version and first one "old" version) and in lassiedir_win_v1_2 i can not find (there is no _system folder). In LassieAS_win_v081b4 I see assieas_win_v081b4\LassieAS_win_v081b4\library\_system) Is it mean that in v1_2 I can not change localization. Or this just mean that I have broken version (and may be my hands :) )? Thanks, for your engine and support. first of alla i am a newbie like you but it happens to know the solution to your problem 1)open the folder containing your project, open the folder "library" open the folder "_system" in there are the three files i mentioned earlier (you can read the "__system_info.txt" inside the "_system" folder for further information about the files inside the "_system" folder.) open these 3 files with flash select with te selection tool (v) the text box on the properties of the text box (if the properties dialog is not active, set it active from the window->properties->properties) set the font to a russian one and click the embed button and inside the embed dialog, choose the languages you want (i think is cyrrilic(499 glyphs) for you and then ok. you can embed as many languages you you want as long the font you have selected has the characters you want finally save the file and publish it remeber to do the procedure with all of the three files 2)http://lassie.gmacwill.com/lower.php?section=developers&page=compare i am using lassie as, so the above information is for this platform.

Lassie Director is the most stable but like already mentioned it has its limits, where as AS is very powerful, but there are a few issues you need to work around, ie sound and speech and a few functions which don't work to well, however if you know some basic action script the sky's the limit :)
