How To Use This Forum
Hey folks, this is heads-up for everyone as to how to take advantage of this forum to get the best help from me and other community folks... please read over once before posting. First, this forum is for any Lassie-related development questions as to HOW TO do something USING the engine. Please do not post these sorts of questions to the "Lassie" forum, which is for discussion and announcements concerning the engine as a whole. Name your post something SPECIFIC!! Please avoid titles like "Having problems..." which says nothing about WHAT the problem is, so it doesn't help others with the same problem locate the information. Please limit topic posts to one general issue each. If you're confused about the walkable area editor AND how to set character scaling, please isolate the questions into separate topics, each titled specifically to the question. However, if you have several questions all concerning walkable areas, those would be fine to group together. Please use your best judgment as to how to present questions in focused, bite-sized chunks. And finally (it pains me to spell this one out since its kind of common sense), but please skim past topic titles to see if your question (or something related) has been addressed in the past.

No, no... I didn't post this notice in regards to anyone specific in this forum; so don't anyone think that I'm casting them into the Lassie "dog house". I've actually been meaning to post guidelines for a while. These aren't meant as "hey, stupid, you're doing this wrong...", as much as it is that I find I can offer better feedback when I get more focused posts. I'm generally flying through this forum at 90MPH on lunch break, so I generally skip over big posts that take a lot of time to read and answer. I say I'll get back to them, but I don't. So, these guidelines are for helping you to help me help you, and in doing so, helping everyone. Lots of helping going on here ;-)

I'm reposting here to hopefully draw attention back to this sticky. Please review this post if you're new to the community. Key points addressed here in: 1) review the titles of old threads. You may find the answer that you were looking for without even asking. 2) when posting questions, please use specific titles that address the nature of the question, not "I have a problem, please help" (which doesn't help others locate the information). Thanks!!
