How do I export as a Web-Viewable Shockwave File?
I've seen the demo on the website which loads a shockwave file, but I was just wondering how I export my game to a shockwave file. I need it to be displayed on a website, but I can't use the AS version because there is no sound support. Thanks for any help! :)

There will be sound support in the AS version, it's just still under construction. To make a shockwave file out of a game made with the original LASSIE, I think you need a copy of Director to do it, or ask Greg about doing it.

Yes, LassieAS sound support IS on the way. That is my current development project on the engine: constructing a sound object model. Progress is steady, although slow since this is one of the most intricate systems of media management. I have not release the Director player application source code, so shockwave publishes have to go through me. I have had a charge-per-publish system in place, but honestly, I don't even want to offer the service. The goal of LassieAS is to allow developers to build an online-playable game that does not requiring me to be involved in the publishing pipeline. I would suggest going ahead with LassieAS and incorporating sound after the audio system has been added to a future engine release. If you want to go ahead with shockwave publishing, I will ask for payment to compensate for my time and your game's share of my Director licence.

Thanks for the quick replies. I'm making this as part of a University project with a deadline in about 3 weeks so unfortunately I probably don't have time to wait for the LassieAS sound support. How much would you charge for a web-viewable file if I can't get around not having sound in AS? I do have a copy of Director if that helps? I tried to make the game from scratch in there but gave up when the coding was just too complicated. Lassie really is a great tool and I'm so lucky to have found it. Thanks for making it!
