Hey Nige, you'd had an inventory item reaction error a while back. Can you -*test*-('") to see if this was it? Matt Kempke isolated this one: The problem occurs when your mouse is resting over an item that is removed from the inventory (the furthest item right). Upon removal, the item's rollout command is being called though the operation fails because the item no longer exists.

yes i i had the problem with the legacy version... i fixed it by putting the playdia after the removeinvenitem of the TIMe's attached to the inv item.. dunno why but it stopped the error it seemed to do it there was more than 3 interactions within inv one after another, if you allowed the inv to close between the interactions the error didn't accure

okay, well I've fixed it in source. It will be addressed in v1.2 that I'll be releasing with the collect total of recent bug fixes made.

its been over a month since I've touched TGE, the reason being it all went terribly wrong! my stone age computer couldn't handle the Poser made main character a friend had custom made, i spent weeks simplifying it to lose out to the anti alias monster yet again, the ultimate bummer came when i realized the camera had moved so earlier created animations didn't match up to the later background so I'm scraping the game, i should of moved on after the first one, but it wasn't all in vain, i learnt a hell of a lot about flash, lassie and where i went wrong, all in all TGE was invaluable So I'm dusting the Chain idea off again and I'm going to develop a style i can do consistently and that will work well in a flash environment, in which time hopefully AS will go final if anyone wants to carry on with TGE your welcome to have the source files and the story, it was mainly the first room that was balls'd up, it would just mean re animating objects.... one of the other problems the scenes had heavy shadows which caused problems when objects where to close etc Rottengames.co.uk expires in june so is gonna get re-named for something more suitable

i dunno! any suggestions lol the problem with rotten games is theres a site rottengames.com doing cheap tacky flash games.. plus its sends out warning signs i guess, i had to convince my first host with RG that i was a nice person because it sounded dodgy lol the plan is to get separate hosting for the new site, at the moment its a addon for bikelectrix which is low on space "Paranoia" i only ever used here and Pinhead games.. long story how that came about lol if you want bin this whole thread greg and i'll give you a updated link to the first TGE.. i've cocked up something in rottengames  why not do a completed games forum?
