Hey, I posted the game in the 'playable' section of the main site, now I have to ask, should I announce this as a beta or as the final? Congrats, BTW, and nice job. I still have to finish playing it, and I am determined not to look over your instructions to do so!

Hey, I posted the game in the 'playable' section of the main site, now I have to ask, should I announce this as a beta or as the final thanks m8.. i've seen :D i'd keep it as a beta version as i plan to sort the daft problems it has, the gameplay won't be changed, mainly tidying things up and fix my bad spelling!, i must find someone more literate than me lol.. i'm gonna take a few days off and plan whats next  i'm glad you guys like it, and thanks for all the help and support 8)

heres the screenshots for the flash version... it now has two possible ways to escape, animated objects and a lot harder! the only original graphic from the first is the car and ladder! and i'm scrapping the car for a better one as the doors, bonnet don't open

I've been messing with poser trying to make a new character, what do you think? it based on my cartoon character, glen, and has a 12fps walk cycle as john suggested i had to pixel it quite a lot to stop any anti alias glow :? anyway tiz 2.40 in the mornin! i must get some sleep!

Hey, that character is looking great! Really nice job. To limit the amount of work you have to do to nix the aliasing "glow", do you have a copy of Photoshop? Using it's tools, I have a pretty reliable method of dumping around 98% of aliasing that only takes about five keystrokes to do. It generally only misses tight corners. Let me know if you have access to some version of Photoshop (if not, you should be able to D/L a 30-day free trial from Adobe if you want to give it a shot).

the character is more or less as he came out of Poser, the only thing i've done was crop the images, gave it a transparent background and made a gif animation... i'll give photoshop a shot, the reason i haven't is simply its even more stuff i need to learn lol, PSP has been an old friend.. apart from the anti alias problems it loves to inflict on me

I got Photoshop and I want to learn how to dump the aliasing. Can you teach me? Sure, so here's what you do (this assumes that your character is rendered onto a solid, flat colored background and has an aliased edge): Select the magic wand tool and un-check anti-aliasing in its tool options. Set the tolerance to about 50 or so, this will give you a nice threshold between the background color and the aliasing. Select the background with the wand tool, then use Select>Modify>Expand to grow the selection by 1 pixel; then delete the background. This extra pixel growth will crop in on the aliasing, trimming it off. If one pixels still leaves a halo, undo the process and redo it with a 2 pixel expand. I find this method to do a very nice job, and its fast! Hope that helps.

THX!

Hi, I found a bug (I think) in the version currently available from the LASSIE site (1b) which I don't think anyone has mentioned yet. I put the battery on the floor and used it (without making a bomb) and it just suddenly blew everything up. I'm guessing I should have had to make a bomb first?

NigeC- 03-09-2006

:? really?! thats more than a bug lol.. to be honest i was so focused on just getting the game done its was very rushed, and had very little -*test*-('")ing but i learnt a lot and the new version WILL be better on a lot more care is going into it i've now got help with the character, and with the dialog within the game, and will have very little in common with the original game :D

bigmac- 03-10-2006

Photoshop 7? Yeah, no worries, that's the next-to-newest version. Anyway, all these toolsets that you'd need were supported as far back as about Photoshop 3 or 4.
