HG2G Game Updates? Any new updates on your HHG game? I just started experimenting with Lassie (not much worth sharing yet) and found your post just now.
I am a huge Hitchhiker's fan and would love to see a quality point and click game based on it. Maybe 1 part Hitchhiker's Guide, 1 part Space Quest....

Well, I decided to scrap the Hitchhikers guide idea, but I was going to make my own unique game. I have a few ideas bouncing around, but school has been VERY busy of late, so I haven't done any work, and I don't suspect I will til I'm done with school in a year. But it will be 1 part Monkey Island 1 part space quest and 42 parts my own idea

HG2G.... Does that mean you've abandoned the Hitchhiker's Guide idea entirely?
If in the not too distant future, I can develop the Lassie skill to do the concept justice, would it be a total jerk move to try to develop my own version? I always thought it would make a nice point n click.
But if you might still do it, I would back off and come up with something else.
**Again, this all hangs on me having the time and skill to actually do it.**

Don't short suite yourself... we all have the skill at heart to be game designers. What separates the developers from the players are those who have the ambition to complete a project versus those who don't. So the question is, which is it? ;-)

Feel free, like I said, I'd rather make my own concept than use one that was someone else's idea. Besides, even if I was going to do it, it would be quite a while. But thank you for asking, I do appreciate the sentiment.
