Do you have to use a character?
Do you have to have a character present in your game using Lassie? Or can you just have it first person? Example - The Escape the Room type games. I don't want to make an Escape the Room type game just have that view without the character. Thank You Ikonz101

I believe I figured my own answer out. You don't need a character to have playable in Lassie. Just got down trying out the games in the games section. Played Handyman Wanted. It uses no characters to navigate. Very well done. Does every game have to have the Lassie startup? Or is that optional? P.S. Sorry I am new to Lassie but I find this program amazing to say the least. Especially being able to use ActionScript. Job well done to the developers. Have a great one. Ikonz101

hi and welcome :) you still need some sort of "character".. i use a blank 10x10 swf, then in the room properties disable the character in each room if you put the start point and sprite blue dots in the center of the room it speeds up how quickly the text displays the new game/start menu you can disable, , in the config section these an option to turn it off i just reformatted so i don't have Lassie installed so sorry if its a bit vague.. but then again I'm alway a bit vague at 7.30 in the morning lol if your doing a FP game, try to keep the file sizes down, to cut down the length of time the loader appears, theres loads of ways i could of made our game better with action script

I seem to be having that problem with the loading forever. I just have one JPEG though and a character. The post for this issue is at the top of the forum. Thank You for your help NigeC. I also believe its your tutorial I am using as a starting point. Ikonz101
