Heya, think this is a great idea! Btw, what was it you made licence money off lassie with? Is it something we can check out?

NigeC- 01-27-2008

Great idea Greg :D

Btw, what was it you made license money off lassie with? Is it something we can check out? No, it was a private production for an internal corporate training. They needed a code base. I actually don't know much about the project that the source code went to.

Awesome ideas Greg! Looking forward to these con-*test*-('")s! Just a thought: Have you considered releasing SuperSheep with multiple graphic packages? Depending on the style of the game, graphics can be so different, I realized that when I saw Tucker's verb disc compared to mine.

Just a thought: Have you considered releasing SuperSheep with multiple graphic packages? I suppose if we have multiple cool designs come from this, then we could post the additional graphics packages up on the Lassie website for free download. However, I'm going to keep the default Lassie UI restricted to one "official" graphics package. But again, SuperSheep is being designed with adaptability in mind. Thats another beautiful thing about event listeners... they make program components work like Legos... you can snap one component out without braking anything, and snap in something new in its place... just make it respond to the same event listeners and you're off to the races! And Nige, I'm expanding con-*test*-('") requirements: all graphics must be original works.

Re:
Great Idea, Greg! Just a thought, I think there should be a way of having an inventory thats always open. Like you can choose which inventory you want and one is always open. PS: I never said this but my favourite thing about lassie is the verb discs. There so unique, proffessional and smooth.

hehe.... I have an idea in the works.... I just have to find time to do it now that school started. I also think the packages is a cool idea. Because people wanting to make one kind of game, will need to use one set, while another will need a totally different set to look professional.

bigmac- 01-28-2008

So my question is this though: will we even get any entries?

Shofixti- 01-28-2008

I have a Brother who is Ace at this kind of thing... but sadly he said he wouldn't touch this as its vector based.

SeanCyrusTowel- 01-28-2008

lol.... I could easily do sketches.... it's the vector based part that'll take time :-)

NigeC- 01-28-2008

Thats the thing i'll struggle with.. but you know me, i'm up for anything lol

PinkFrangipani- 01-28-2008

So my question is this though: will we even get any entries? I'm actually planning to try for an entry although like for others in here, vector art is not my strong point. It'll be a great opportunity to learn though :P

Ok, heres a very rough concept just to get things started. Im just thinking out loud here, but let me know what you think anyway...
