Could use some Website Advice
Hey again guys, sorry i've been inactive. Me and my Bro are currently working on a website for a local church youth group. We decided from the beginning that Joomla wouldn't cut it for this job, and decided to take things up in dreamweaver. Well we have the website layout itself down, and thanks to my bro's uber Graphical Art skills it looks pretty good, but we hit a small snag. You see the Youth coordinator guy needs to be able to update the front page himself, so he can add the la-*test*-('") news or whatever... problem is of course, he would have NO idea what he was doing if he had to edit the page and upload it to the FTP account himself. So we need some other solution. I'm really at a blank here, anybody else have some helpful insight?

Not by any means an expert (that would be Greg) but I believe CSS is the way to go for that.

Well, thats more my bros domain, But I believe the page is formatted in CSS. Even with CSS, what on earth do we do?

Have you chosen a host yet? I just changed to One.com, they have a few good deals and their customer service is very good. Also, with your domain you get a free blog template (the CSS of which can be changed to suit the rest of your website). You could set up the blog as the homepage/newspage, which I PRESUME (havn't ever done it myself) would be a lot more user-friendly to add news posts and such. You could then have links to the rest of the site?

yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Blogs are usually very easy to use. It's almost just like posting on a forum.

Well, right now i was just using my leftover FTP account from Paintball 3D... but yes, I guess blogs is what I need to look at. Thanks guys, I'll see about posting a link if/when this ever gets done.
