The game would essentially be donation ware, but NigeC and I have been discussing it and haven't been able to come up with a foolproof solution for it either
One way would be to have people pay first and then get the download link, or making it availabe for download first and trust people to do the right thing...
For the first option we'd need something like Paypal, but unfortunately it's not the most suitable for small amounts of money.
And the disadvantage of option two is pretty obvious... :D
So we're very much open to suggestions :)
Perhaps if we could find a similar project we could ask the people involved how they did it?
Although at this point it's not exactly a priority yet...

Count me in.
As I've said before, I can't bring much to the table, But I want to try to help as much as I can.
Voices I can do, as well as another very talented voice actor I know of.
I also have basic knowledge of 2D and 3D graphical art, a moderate understanding of Lassie, Quite a bit of experience managing an Indy game (worked 3 years on PB3D) And finally, a (legal) copy of almost every adobe product ever realesed.

Thanks Shofixti!
But I think you're being way too modest, as far as I can tell you'll be bringing a lot more to the table than I am...

Ooh, I'm intrigued! If you want a writer or a musician, I'll be happy to help. (I'd volunteer to program/script, but I have no idea how much of a hassle it would be for multiple people to do so, and I have to do enough of that sort of thing at my job anyway. And I could also help with art tasks, though I suspect we've already got some far more capable people doing that.)
Samples of the quality of my work can, of course, be found at my website.

Yes, please!!! :D
We need both, we've decided on the general direction for a game, and we'd love your input, so we hope you'll join us, Squinky.
And I'm sure you'd be much more of an asset to the art work than you give yourself credit for, so please don't let your modesty stop you from giving it a try...
Hope to see you on the Team Lassie Project thread! :D

Yup welcome! Ive played a few of your games, am I right in thinking you're working at TellTale currently? Or is that my imagination?
Squinky- 05-24-2008
Used to, but am now working at Hothead, on Ron Gilbert's DeathSpank. Very fun project.

Well now thats VERY impressive :D big fan of the man, as I'd say most people are. Looking forward to that game, but i'm guessing its gonna be a bit of a wait.
That must be a great place to work though... dont suppose Hothead need a graphic designer? :D

Yeah, I just want to confirm the message above.... I think ALL (big generalization.... but I think it's true) of us are fans of the man. Oddly enough, I was just the past few days looking at the Penny Arcade Game, I didn't realize he was a part of it.... guess I have to get it now :-)
