Im no expert but I find the cache can be a real pain in the ass... have you cleared it?

bigmac- 01-08-2008

On the subject of Cache... keep in mind that Flash caches SWF compiles to publish your movie quicker each time. If you ever get wonky publishing results, go into Flash and clear ASO files (Action Script Object files). There's a "clear ASO" option in one of the main application menus. BTW: what version of Flash are you using? I guarentee that you'll detonate the Lassie player if you try to feed it AS3 media. If you're using Flash CS3, make sure that you're creating media files from AS2 documents, preferably published for Flash 7.

Don't worry Greg, I'm not so foolhardy  I'm using Flash 8 Pro. Thanks for the info on the Cache...never heard of that before! I went to clear it right away...but no go. I do have a question though: How crucial is it to exit Lassie via 'Exit Editor' -> 'Quit'? It happens sometimes that after I've saved my project, I close the editor via the close button by habit. Don't know if that might be messing up anything...

i use this http://www.xs4all.nl/~franckey/franckey/software/systemcleanup.htm it'll clear everything windows tucks away. BUT i've not used it on Vista If your really stuck i could try it on my PC Are you using a blank movie, the flash player could be ignoring it

Don't know if that might be messing up anything... It shouldn't matter. You'll just loose any unsaved data. It shouldn't bomb out the program though.

I've never had a problem and i rarely go to the quit screen

bigmac- 01-10-2008

HMPH. (mumble, mumble, mumble). Not gonna use my quit screen, hu? Lemme guess, you're too good for it, right? :D

NigeC- 01-10-2008

SeanCyrusTowel- 01-10-2008

Greg put a lot of programming into that quit screen!

NigeC- 01-10-2008

PinkFrangipani- 01-10-2008

Hilarious, guys  My last update on the problem: I've uploaded the game on the server where it will be hosted anyway. And it's working without any trouble there. So, that was my last word on the matter. Going to back to creating the hosting site now
